Armour Etch Cream Questions?

so i've tried etching some wine bottles and wine glasses. but the etching doesn't seem very bright on colored glass like how the products examples show. i put a think layer (as directed; you can't see the stencil or glass through the cream) and i have even left the cream on for 5 mins. is there something im doing wrong? pictures are provided.

Etching cream is not all that strong. I've used it, but have also done sandblasting, which makes a much deeper cut. You're not doing anything wrong, and the wine glass looks really good.
