How can I get my Epson Stylus SX105 printer to recognise non-Epson ink cartridges?
For over a year now, we've used our Epson stylus sx105 printer with non-standard, non-epson cartridges. As the boxes say, they are compatible with the printer (but are loads cheaper). Now for no apparent reason, the printer doesn't recognise them, even though the ones loaded in the printer still have ink in them. Why, after so long of using the exact same cartridges, has this happened? Is there a way that I can reconfigure the printer so that I don't have to buy the more expensive official cartridges?
You have a bad chip - it happens. Take the cartridge back, nothing you can do is going to make it work.
