Is there a way, a trick if you will to get clear stamps to leave impressions like rubber stamps?

I love the impressions I get from rubber stamps but you just cant beat being able to see exactly where your stamps are being placed plus you can position multiple clear stamps. I would like to get better impressions from my clear stamps. Anybody have any tricks that will do the trick?
Also if anyone know, please let me know the best brand of clear stamps, thanks!
